The Jamba Juice Bike Blender
A stationary bike equipped with a blender won’t probably be described as a wonder machine, yet pumping one’s adrenalins by cycling on it for at least five minutes gives a mighty boost to a remarkable cause.
Dubbed as the Jamba Juice Bike Blender, this contraption was brought in from San Francisco for use in the Jamba Juice events. The Bike Blenders’ presence in the Philippines ushers in Jamba Juice Philippines’ new initiative of promoting not just healthy lifestyle but also the support for the local industry and community livelihood that is rooted in what is arguably the world’s best mangoes: Guimaras mangoes.
“The Philippines is already known for the ferment of some of the best tropical fruits. Jamba Juice, which uses the highest quality of fruits from different countries, is already using our bananas. We are furthering this commitment to quality and freshness by promoting Guimaras mangoes for use in blending more delectable smoothies,” shares Sharon T. Fuentebella, Managing Director of Jamba Juice Philippines.
By working with the Bureau of Plant Industry–Guimaras National Mango Research and Development Center (BPI-GNMRDC) and with the full support of President and CEO of Jamba Juice James D. White, Jamba Juice Philippines launched the Give Me Five initiative. Through this initiative, customers who ride the bike for five minutes get to donate one mango seedling that will be planted in the Guimaras Mango Park.

“We’ll be putting the Bike Blender in our stores and in our events to engage our customers in this project that aims to support the local industry and the local communities, whose livelihoods are dependent on the Guimaras Mango trade,” says Mark Gamboa, Marketing Director of Jamba Juice Philippines.
Fuentebella adds that to make this initiative successful, Jamba Juice Philippines has to supply the demand for Guimaras mangoes worldwide, since the fruit will be used in more than 800 store locations across the globe. “We are very positive about the abundance of good fruits that this project will bear since it will also highlight Guimaras as a tourist destination where the best mangoes can be found.”
So, the next time you see the bikes at Jamba Juice stores and events, don’t hesitate to ride it for five minutes–because the Give Me Five for a mango seedling initiative promises to lead to richer and more fruitful lives.
